Original Contemporary Portrait by Christopher Miles
Oil on reclaimed wood board
Dimensions: 40 × 34 cm (16 × 13 inches)
Price: £399
Defiant yet introspective, Christian captures the quiet intensity of a figure seemingly caught between rebellion and reflection.
Against a striking backdrop of fluorescent pink, the subject sits with arms folded, enveloped in a dark leather jacket. His guarded posture and downward gaze create an intriguing contrast between outward toughness and an unmistakable sense of vulnerability.
Bold, gestural brushstrokes and an instinctive approach to colour give the portrait its restless energy. Deep charcoal tones, electric blues and flashes of warm yellow punctuate the composition, while the raw texture of the reclaimed wood introduces a sense of history and imperfection.
Drawing on the visual identity of youth subcultures and the enduring symbolism of the outsider, Christian challenges the viewer to look beyond appearances.
The result is an intimate, psychologically charged portrait that celebrates individuality, contradiction and the beauty found in imperfection.
An original, one-of-a-kind painting.
Every Christopher Miles original artwork is carefully prepared and securely packaged to help ensure it reaches its new home safely.
