Original Contemporary Portrait by Christopher Miles
Oil and spray paint on reclaimed wood board
Dimensions: 75 × 54 cm (30 × 21 inches)
Price: £699
Raw, confrontational and unapologetically expressive, Elias explores the tension between vulnerability and defiance.
Set against a vivid, urban-inspired backdrop, the figure emerges through layers of expressive brushwork, fractured colour and restless energy. Fiery reds, electric blues and flashes of yellow collide with deep shadows, creating a portrait that feels both intimate and unsettling.
The subject's downward gaze and tightly drawn expression suggest a private moment of contemplation, while the surrounding architecture introduces a sense of isolation within an unforgiving urban landscape.
Painted in oils and spray paint on reclaimed wood, the work embraces the imperfections of its surface. Visible marks, layered textures and exposed divisions in the board become integral to the composition, reinforcing its raw, contemporary character.
Elias is a distinctive original artwork that brings together expressive portraiture, street-art influences and the enduring visual language of youth and counterculture.
An original, one-of-a-kind painting.
Every Christopher Miles original artwork is carefully prepared and securely packaged to help ensure it reaches its new home safely.
